Dr. Lu received her medical degree from Zhongshan Medical College in 1984. She completed her residency training in paediatrics at the Sun Yatsen Memorial Hospital, Guangzhou in 1987. In 1992, she was awarded a master’s degree (paediatric endocrinology) from the University of Sydney. In 1994, she passed the AMC exams to qualify as a medical practitioner in Australia, and in 2016, Dr. Lu was awarded a Diploma in Child Health, also from the University of Sydney.
Dr. Lu has over 25 years of clinical experience from China and Australia, in both paediatric and adult medicines. Before joining Shanghai United Family Hospital, Dr. Lu served as a family medicine physician for the expatriate community in Guangzhou, working in International SOS, Assistance and EurAm International Medical Centre (1996-2015). For eight years from 1987 to 1994, Dr. Lu served as resident medical officer and clinical researcher in The Children’s Hospital Sydney. In addition to her clinical work, she published multiple papers in medical journals, including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.
Dr. Lu joined the Shanghai United Family Hospital in 2015. She is the Department Chair, and an Assistant Chief Medical Officer overseeing outpatient departments. Her passion is in unifying the medical team with the evidence based medicine approach.
Dr. Lu has medical training and licenses in both Australia and China. She has been certified by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Dr. Lu speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
