Lei YIN

Scope of Practice:

Dr. Yin provides the whole range of oral health care for patients as a general practitioner.  Her expertise spans from tooth-colored fillings, life-like crowns and veneers, bridges and dentures, implant supported restorations, Invisalign to gum treatments.  Dr. Yin advocates high quality oral health as part of overall health for the individual and the community.

Education Background:

Dr. Yin received her DDS from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors in 2002.  At Columbia University, she received the Dean’s Scholar, Moss Scholarship, and the William J. Gies Fellowship awards. Dr. Yin completed her residency program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, which ranks highly among the United States most respected, admired, and trusted healthcare organizations.  At Cedars-Sinai, she received comprehensive dentistry training and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from caries, periodontitis, and malocclusion.

Professional Experience:

Dr. Yin has over 23 years of clinical experience.  Before joining United Family Feng Shang Clinic in 2023, Dr. Yin practiced in United Family Pudong Hospital since 2018 as the first dentist and past Dental Chief of Pudong Hospital.  Prior to 2018, Dr. Yin owned and managed a state of art dental office in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.  Her private dental practice focused on high quality family dentistry and cosmetic dentistry.  It served a diverse range of individuals and families in the area.  She was a trusted healthcare provider in the community.  Earlier in her career, Dr. Yin conducted HIV research at Columbia University and published two first author papers on Virology, and AIDS Research and Human Retroviruses.
