Dr. Zhang specializes in clinical anesthesia, intraoperative management, and multimodal analgesia for all ages. He is proficient in anesthesia for general surgery, pediatric surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, brain surgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, and cardiothoracic surgery. He can skillfully implement epidural technique and Ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve block for postoperative analgesia.

Education:

Dr. Zhang received his bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine from Shanghai Medical School of Fudan University in 2002 and his master’s degree in anesthesiology from Xinhua Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical School in 2013.He is currently studying doctor degree on biomedicine at the School of Medicine of Tongji University. He was a visiting scholar in clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2013.

Working experience:

Dr. Zhang used to serve as an attending doctor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to the School of Medicine of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has more than 16 years of clinical experience. He administered more than 1000 cases of anesthesia as chief anesthesiologist annually, and the age of anesthesia patients ranges from 0 (newborn) to 102 years old. Dr. Zhang has rich clinical experience in preoperative medication and nutritional adjustment, intraoperative optimization and postoperative pain management for patients of all ages.
