Shanghai United Family Pudong Hospital is Here for You

Dear Friends of Shanghai United Family Pudong Hospital,

It has been an extraordinary Spring Festival for all of us. We write this letter to update you on some of the processes and changes we have put in place to help maintain a safe environment for you and your family.

We have implemented a travel and symptom survey for all patients and visitors. We request all patients and visitors to wear a mask, report their travel and contact history, have their temperature checked, and fill out a medical questionnaire at the door before entry. One surgical mask will be supplied for each patient and visitor. To help control the spread of illness, at this time, we can only allow one person to accompany each patient in the hospital. This will also include our inpatients, who will be allowed one visitor at a time.

Between 8am to 630pm, patients and visitors will be screened through our Main Lobby Entrance; from 630pm to next day 8am, our ER entrance will be used for screening. Shanghai United Family Pudong Hospital is not a government-designated fever clinic and patients with a fever or exposure history will be directed to appropriate fever clinics in Shanghai.

In order to continue to support your routine medical needs, most of our clinics are open including Dermatology,Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Surgery, Ultrasound, and our Vaccine Center. We hope you will not delay making appointments for any needs as we can assure you of a clean and safe environment even in this extraordinary time.

Based on current Pudong District requirements however, routine care for Dental, Endoscopy, ENT (Ear Nose and Throat), Ophthalmology, and Respiratory services are temporarily suspended until further notice by the local authorities.

Inpatient services for Adult and Pediatric Medicine, Obstetrics, Post-Partum Rehabilitation and Surgery continue to operate as usual, as does our Emergency Department.

In order to help answer questions you may have at this time, we are also initiating a telephone advice service staffed by our world-class Family Medicine, ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) and Mental Health doctors and clinicians.  For more information, please call our Appointment Center (400 6393900).

We will continue to update you on any changes to our services and processes. Thank you for your continued patience and trust.

Shanghai United Family Pudong Hospital is here with you all the way during this time to provide safe, high-quality healthcare services for you and your family.
