Areas of Specialty:
◆Ms. Sharon Yen is a dedicated specialist in evidence-based assessment and treatment for various neurodivergent conditions in children, teens, and adults, including ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, school refusal, depression, anxiety, insomnia, behavioral addictions, and self-injurious behaviors.
◆With extensive experience, she conducts a variety of assessments, such as cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral, and psycho-educational evaluations, along with comprehensive risk assessments. Ms. Yen excels at creating customized intervention programs tailored specifically for children and adolescents.
◆In addition to her assessment work, she provides individual therapy and leads small group interventions. Her therapeutic strategies include play-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MCBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).

◆Ms. Yen is an accomplished clinical psychologist with two decades of experience. She previously directed a clinical teaching project, earning the Excellent Mentor Award for her guidance in training future healthcare professionals.
◆She has worked at Shanghai United Family Hospital for 7 years, where she supervises school counselors and collaborates with K-12 international schools. Licensed to practice in both Mainland China and Taiwan, she is committed to mental health advocacy. In addition, she participated in interviews with both <Shanghai Daily> and <Reuters> to raise awareness about mental health issues among the general public.
◆As the Partnership Chair of the Shanghai International Mental Health Association (SIMHA), she promoted mental health awareness for the past few years.
◆In Taiwan, she focuses on supporting K-12 students with special educational needs, providing personalized interventions to help them excel academically and socially.
◆Ms. Yen has offered valuable insights into supporting students diagnosed with ADHD and learning disabilities, emphasizing tailored interventions and inclusive practices. Academic Achievement:
◆Ms. Yen once developed an interdisciplinary integrated therapy for schoolchildren with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) accompanied by writing difficulties, which earned her the honor of winning the first prize for poster papers at the 2014 Taiwan Society of Clinical Psychology.
