Biography

Areas of specialty treatments:

Ms. Tien is dedicated to providing psychological education assessments and therapy for children and adolescents facing issues such as ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and autism. Additionally, she offers psychological therapy for adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and behavioral issues, parent-child conflicts, and intimate partner relationship challenges. Ms. Tien also provides online counseling services. She utilizes therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy, and psychodynamic orientation. She is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Inner Family Systems Therapy to address trauma-related stress responses, empower individuals to overcome challenges, and achieve personal growth.

Education:

Ms. Tien graduated from Chang Gung University in 2016 with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. In 2018, she obtained certification as a Scholar in Mother-Infant Therapy Program from Columbia University in New York. Currently, she is actively pursuing professional certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

From 2013 to 2016, Ms. Tien completed standardized training at Chang Gung Hospital, engaging in rotations through various clinical departments. She gained proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental illnesses, spanning from children to adults.

Background:

Ms. Tien has accumulated over 10 years of clinical practice experience. Prior to joining United Family Healthcare, Ms. Tien worked in community hospitals in Taiwan, Olivia’s Place in Shanghai, and the Psychological Outpatient Department at Parkway Health Medical Center. In these roles, she assisted in providing psychological therapy and assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Over the past five years, she has been involved with numerous international schools in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, offering assessments, psychological counseling, and various types of lectures.

Ms. Tien is a clinical psychologist certified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Taiwan and holds a certification as a Psychotherapist accredited by the Shanghai Health Commission. In addition to her focus on psychological education assessments and therapy, she has contributed to academic publications in medical journals, such as “Ultrasound in Medical & Biology.”
