The IVF Clinic Pregnancy Rate

Since the birth of the world’s first test tube baby, assisted reproductive technology took a qualitative leap in technology and treatment, although the procedure has been around for 40 years. Worldwide, there have been over 5 million test tube babies born, as the epoch-making technology has helped bring joy to countless of infertile families. However, no matter how advanced the technology may be, it still cannot provide 100% guarantee.

There are several reasons that affect the IVF’s success rate, the most important of which are the age of the mother, the health of the reproductive system, IVF laboratory conditions and techniques, the doctor’s understanding, and the treatment level, amongst others. A woman aged between 25 and 34 only has 40%-50% chances of conceiving. At 35 years old or over, the chances are 10% to 20% or less, because of the quality and quantity of the egg is poor.

Other factors include clinic stimulation protocol, IVF laboratory conditions and gynaecological complications.
