Dr. Xia has vast experience in both clinical anesthesia and intensive care. Dr. Xia is proficient in all kinds of anesthesia, including general anesthesia, epidural, spinal, nerve block, sedation, etc. Dr. Xia has administered anesthesia over 10,000 times for cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, liver transplantation, renal transplantation, etc. Dr. Xia is proficient in ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve block, conscious intubation guided by bronchofiberscope, management of all kinds of difficult airways and pain management after surgery. Dr. Xia also has vast experience working in the ICU. Dr. Xia has a good command of ventilations, management of airways, ACLS, etc.

Education:

Dr. Xia graduated from Shanghai Medical University in 2001, and then he received his master’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Xia received his medical degree in 2016 from Shanghai Second Military University.

Background:

Dr. Xia has over 20 years of clinical experience. Before joining United Family Healthcare Shanghai Service Area, Dr Xia served at Shanghai First People’s Hospital for 13 years and Shanghai International Medical Center for seven years.

Dr. Xia is a member of the Chinese Professional Committee of the Association of Non-Public Medical Institutions, the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Shanghai Anesthesiology Branch, and the Emergency Critical Illness branch of the Shanghai Association of Social Medical Institutions. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Xia has been published in medical journals, including Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International.
