Areas of specialty:

Dr. Xia has several areas of specialty including fractures in children, disorders of skeletal growth and development, and pediatric sports medicine.

Education:

Dr. Xia received his medical degree and law degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2007, and was later awarded a medical Master’s degree in 2010 from there. He eventually received his Doctorate from Fudan University in 2022. Dr. Xia completed his residency in surgery at Shanghai Tenth People’s Hospital in 2012, where he rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from fractures to osteoarthritis. Dr. Xia completed his specialist training in pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital of Fudan University, where he developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from fractures in children to disorders of skeletal growth and development.

Background:

Dr. Xia has over 10 years of clinical experience. Before joining Shanghai United Family Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Xia served in orthopedic department of Children’s Hospital of Fudan University as an expert in mini-invasive surgical treatment of fractures and arthroscopy.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Xia is published in medical journals, including the Biological Procedures Online.
