She specializes in allergic skin diseases, various infectious skin diseases, acne in adults and children. She also specializes in various procedures and treatments, including tissue biopsy, surgery for benign and malignant diseases, laser, cryosurgery, Hyaluronic acid injection, Thermage, laser hair removal, and other kinds of laser cosmetic.

Dr. Alva Zhou graduated from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University in 2007 with a Master of Medicine degree, and then received a bachelor’s degree in administration from Fudan University in 2008.

Background:

Dr. Alva Zhou has more than 18 years of clinical practice experience. She has been engaged in clinical work in the Dermatology Department of Shanghai Huashan Hospital since 2005. At the same time, she also works as a professional dermatologist and consultant in well-known cosmetics companies, and has participated in beauty lectures of well-known skin care brands as a senior medical consultant for several times. Prior to joining United Family Healthcare, Dr. Alva Zhou has 10 years working experience at a well-known high-end private institution as Chief of Dermatology Department, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases and dermatologic surgery, and is also an expert in skin & cosmetic laser treatment and injection treatment. In addition, she has participated in the 17th edition of “Merck Manual of Treatment”, the 4th edition of “Children’s Dermatology”and other books translation work, independently written “SkinScape Sensitive Skin Edition” published by the Dermatology World Report, and participated in the preparation of the “Famous doctors Talk to You about diseases – Psoriasis”, “Cosmetic Dermatology” and other dermatology professional books.
Dr. Alva Zhou is currently the Director of Dental and Maxillofacial Medical Cosmetology Branch of Chinese Plastic and Aesthetic Association, and Secretary General of the sub-professional Committee of Minimally Invasive Biokinetic Therapy of the Minimally Invasive and Dermatological Plastic Cosmetology Branch of Chinese Plastic and Aesthetic Association. She was awarded the “Dermatologist Professionalism Award” by the Skin Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Non-Public Medical Institutions.
