Education:

Dr. Sun graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in stomatology. Under the guidance of Professor Liang Jingping, he graduated with a master’s degree in clinical stomatology from Shanghai Second Medical Universityin2005 and doctoral degree in 2008. Dr. Sun is expert in the diagnosis and treatment of common and complex diseases of caries, endodontic and periapical diseases.

Background:

Dr. Sun has 30 years of clinical experience. Prior to joining UFH Shanghai, Dr. Sun worked in the Department of Endodontics in Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, specializing in aesthetic dentistry, complex root canal treatment, root canal re-treatment, and microscopic endodontic treatment.Dr. Sun served as the member of the 3rd, 4th and 5th session of the Society of Carieology and Endodontics in the Chinese Stomatological Association, the standing member of the 6th and 7th session of the Society of Carieology  and Endodontics in the Chinese Stomatological Association; the standing  member of the 2nd and 3rd session of the Society of Carieology  and Endodontics in the Shanghai Stomatological Association;  the standing member of the 1st and 2nd session of the Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in the Shanghai Stomatological Association.  Dr. Sun is also the member of the Expert Committee in the National Medial Licensing Examination. He is the chief promotion specialist of microscopic endodontic treatment in the Ministry of CME in the Chinese Stomatological Association. He is the editor in chief of “Analysis and Thinking on Endodontic Diseases”, participated in publishing of “Multilayer Aesthetic Restoration of Composite Resin: Basic Theory and Clinical treatment”, “Advanced Endodontics And Periodongtology”, “Root Canal Therapeutics” 1st and 2nd editions, and involved in translating of “Restoration of Root Canal-Treated Teeth “。
