Biography

Dr. Zhang has several areas of specialty treatments including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome, etc.

Education:

Dr. Zhang received her medical Bachelor Degree in 2002 and was later awarded a medical Master’s Degree in 2006 from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In 2017, she received her Doctoral Degree in internal medicine from The Second Military Medical University. Dr. Zhang completed her residency in internal medicine at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital in 2008, where she rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from diabetes to anemia. She was trained as the chief resident physician in department of internal medicine for 6 months and in the department of endocrinology for more than 5 years. She completed internal emergency and fever outpatient for 3 months every year. She is hired as a standardized training and examination examiner for internal medicine and general practice resident physicians in Shanghai for over 10 years. She is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of various acute or chronic diseases in internal medicine, from diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis to gout, hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver, upper respiratory tract infection, pneumonia, gastritis, gastric ulcer, hepatitis, anemia, chronic renal disease, etc.

Background:

Dr. Zhang has over 10 years of clinical experience. Before joining Shanghai United Family Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Zhang served in the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Shanghai Changzheng Hospital as an expert in diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome, etc

Dr. Zhang is deputy leader of the Metabolic Bone Disease Group of the 12th Committee of the Endocrinology Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association. She was a member of the Blood Glucose Monitoring Group, the Insulin Resistance and Pancreatic β Cell Function Research Group and the Metabolic Syndrome Research Group of diabetes Branch of Shanghai Medical Association.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Zhang is participating in academic exchanges both domestically and internationally, and publishing over ten core journals and SCI academic papers. She was one of the authors of multiple medical popular science books. And she took part in research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. She was a researcher in more than ten international and domestic multicenter clinical drug trials.
