Biography

Areas of specialty treatments:

Dr. Meng has extensive experience in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases in adults, children and newborns using transthoracic echocardiography, and is skilled in various transthoracic echocardiography techniques, such as contrast echocardiography, stress echocardiography, three-dimensional echocardiography, speckle tracking echocardiography, etc. Before joining Shanghai United Family Hospital, Dr. Meng completed more than 200 cases of transesophageal echocardiography under local anesthesia and general anesthesia every year, and accumulated very rich experience in the application of transesophageal echocardiography for disease diagnosis and surgical assistance.

Education:

Dr. Meng graduated from the School of Medicine of Tongji University with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine in 2005 ,and was later awarded a Master’s degree in Imaging and Nuclear Medicine in 2014 from the School of Medicine of Tongji University. In 2008, Dr. Meng completed her residency at the East Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University. She has studied diagnosis of children and fetal cardiovascular diseases in Shanghai Children’s Medical Center and Xinhua Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

Background:

Dr. Meng has 19 years of clinical experience. Before joining United Family Hospital, Dr. Meng worked in the Department of Echocardiography at East Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University for a long time. From a resident physician to an associate chief physician, she has accumulated rich clinical experience and diagnosed a large number of difficult and complex cardiovascular diseases. She worked as a research assistant at Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong for one year.

Academic achievement

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Meng has also published several high-level academic articles in pioneer medical journals, including Circulation, International Journal of Cardiology, and the Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography.
